Iliana is a PhD researcher at the University of Ottawa studying how digital technologies can support community resilience, knowledge stewardship, and equitable decision-making.
Her research sits at the intersection of information science, digital transformation, human-computer interaction, and governance. Drawing on experience in industry analytics, database management, UX design, and interdisciplinary research, she works with community, academic, and institutional partners to develop digital systems that are sustainable, accessible, and responsive to local priorities.
Current projects include the National Indigenous Climate Compass, AI governance research, and climate adaptation initiatives in partnership with Indigenous communities across Canada.
