DTI winter 2024 Orientation and Social Event

The DTI Students’ Association is pleased to invite you to the Winter 2024 orientation and social gathering between students, directors, and professors.

 

When?

• Friday, January 12, 2023, at 4 pm.

Agenda?

• Session 1: Project-based students [4pm – 5pm]
  • Guidelines for projects its different with internship
  • Finding a supervisor and completing a project
  • CO-OP related questions
  • Academic integrity and plagiarism
  • Invitation from professional development club.

 

• Pizza break!

 

• Session 2: Thesis-based students (PhD and M.Sc.) [5pm – 6pm]
  • Scholarship applications (OGS, QE-II, NSERC, etc.)
  • Academic integrity and plagiarism
  • Guidelines for thesis format (thesis-by-article or monograph)
  • Guidelines for the relationship between supervisors and students (responsibilities and contributions of each)

Note: students can attend both sessions or only the session they fall under.
