Throughout my career, I have made it my priority to utilize current technologies to develop creative business solutions. So I decided to study for the Digital Transformation and Innovation (DTI) program which focused on the integration of information technologies with business processes and strategies. I had the opportunities to explore trendy topics in the IT world, including Data Science, Cybersecurity, IT Project Management, Enterprise Architecture, as well as to jump-start my career in the public sector. I’m grateful for the rewarding experience and all the personal and professional development. I enjoyed the challenge of learning new knowledge and skills, and I am always confident and ready to take on new opportunities. “Don’t wait. The time will never be just right”

Master’s in E-Business Technology is a perfect interdisciplinary program which gives the right blend of Engineering along with Business studies. The program helped me enhance my skill set through an all round development and the COOP program is a right bridging opportunity for international students like me to get an early exposure to be part of the Canadian Workforce. During my Master’s studies, I got an opportunity to do a one year long internship with Nokia where I joined fulltime after the completion of my studies. I also worked on my interest in Hyperledger Blockchain Application Building which later on was converted to my Master’s Project under the supervision of Prof. Umar Ruhi.

With a previous Master’s degree in International Marketing Management from the UK, and work experience in the area of marketing analytics, I was attracted to the MEBT program due to its multidisciplinary coverage of business and technology areas. The program has strengthened my academic and professional portfolio with courses in big data analytics, web services architecture, and information security. Additionally, my analytics expertise has informed my Master’s research project about clustering and sentiment analysis of online customer reviews. My CO-OP experience as an Enterprise Architect with Brookfield Renewable has been professionally rewarding, allowing me to broaden my business knowledge and technology skills
Master
My thesis research, supported through a MITACS research grant, focused on business intelligence applications. My research internship was at IBM, where I landed a job after graduation. During the program, I also had the opportunity to co-author and present a paper at an international conference. The strength of the Master’s program in E-Business Technologies is its interdisciplinary curriculum that spans business, technology, and social science domains. With a previous background in electronics engineering, I really appreciated the breadth of subject areas in the program, and felt that the courses provided a well-rounded foundation for implementing, using, and managing enterprise technologies
