Mapping the Patient Flow in the Surgical Clinic of CHEO, applied process mining techniques such as PM4Py to CHEO’s surgical clinic and operating room data to construct event logs, discover process models, and identify bottlenecks across Elective, Urgent-Emergency, and ED patient pathways. Findings highlighted delays in referral-to-clinic and surgery-request-to-procedure timelines, informing recommendations for future simulation and KPI-based process optimization.
