Zeyad Mohamed

Zeyad is a Master’s researcher in Digital Technology and Innovation at the University of Ottawa studying how emerging digital tools reshape creative industries, artistic authenticity, and audience reception.

Drawing on a background in videography, visual storytelling, and digital strategy, he examines how technological shifts alter professional creative workflows and how public discourse responds to automated and computer-assisted media.

His current research project investigates recurring cycles of “technological amnesia” in cinema, conducting a comparative analysis of modern artistic and public resistance to computer-generated imagery (CGI) against historical skepticism toward legacy, physical special effects.
