Research Project

Edwin Ferrer-Romero is a PhD candidate at the University of Ottawa researching the evolution of sustainable business models and the factors that enable or constrain entrepreneurs pursuing social, environmental, and economic objectives.

His work integrates Entrepreneurial Marketing, digitalization, internationalization, and Triple Bottom Line goals, with particular attention to how internal capabilities, external environments, and stakeholder relationships influence the evolution of Canadian SMEs. His broader interests include artificial intelligence, digital transformation, innovation management, social economy enterprises, business model innovation, creative industries, Energy and Environmental Research, and strategic project management.

Drawing on experience in academia, industry, teaching, and applied research, Edwin contributes to interdisciplinary research, academic publications, conference presentations, and professional initiatives in Canada and internationally. His academic trajectory has also been supported by scholarships, research funding, and professional recognition related to sustainability, innovation, and research excellence.
