DTI Student Symposium

The Digital Transformation and Innovation (DTI) Association at the University of Ottawa is pleased to invite you to the first ever DTI Student Symposium, a student-led academic event designed to showcase graduate research within the DTI community.

📍 Location: University of Ottawa Campus, Vanier Hall (VNR) 1095
🕣 Event timeline: Registration at 8:30 AM | Event begins at 9:00 AM

This symposium provides a supportive and professional environment for students to present their research, receive constructive feedback, and engage in interdisciplinary dialogue with peers and faculty.

Who can apply?

Graduate students (Master’s and PhD) in DTI.
Undergraduate students, Faculty members and supervisors are warmly invited to attend.

Event Format

Oral presentations, 15 minutes total (including Q&A)
  • The event will feature themed presentation sessions, with themes developed based on accepted submissions (e.g., Digital Governance & AI, Data & Society, Technology & Sustainability).
Submission Details
  • Abstract length: 250–300 words
  • Submission deadline: May 1, 2026
  • Notification of acceptance: May 8, 2026
We will be selecting approximately 15 presenters based on the strength and relevance of submissions.

Awards & Recognition

Prizes will be awarded across the following categories:
  • Early Stage (proposal/conceptual)
  • In Progress
  • Advanced (results available)
  • Most Innovative Research
  • People’s Choice Award

This is a great opportunity to gain experience presenting your research, strengthen your academic profile, and connect with the DTI community.
